Who Killed the Electric Car? explores the initial creation and subsequent dismantling of the the battery-powered, electric vehicle by General Motors in the mid-1990s. The film features interviews with former electric vehicle owners, political figures and engineers and explores the roles that lobbyists, government policies, car corporations and oil companies may have played in the eventual dismantling of the General Motors EV-1 program.
